A comprehensive review was conducted in accordance with the *National Food Safety Standard: General Rules for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods* (GB 7718-2025) and the *Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Food Labeling* (Order No. 100 of the State Administration for Market Regulation). The new standards introduce several mandatory changes, including a ban on misleading terms such as “zero additives” and “no additives,” the renaming of the “best before date” to “expiration date,” mandatory labeling of allergens, an increase in the minimum font height to 3.0 mm (for large packages) and 2.0 mm (for small packages), and standardized date labeling areas. We will ensure your labels fully comply with the latest requirements. At the same time, we will assist you in implementing digital labeling technology to display product information digitally, thereby meeting the new national standard’s requirements for digital labeling.
We will conduct a compliance review in accordance with the *National Food Safety Standard: General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Foods* (GB 28050-2025), which will officially take effect on March 16, 2027. The new standard explicitly requires the mandatory labeling of seven core nutritional components: energy, protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars, and sodium—none of which may be omitted. We will verify the format, calculation methods, and labeling rules of the nutrition facts panel to ensure full compliance with Chinese regulatory requirements. For foods for special dietary uses (special dietary foods), additional attention must be paid to the mandatory labeling requirements for nutrients such as saturated fat (or saturated fatty acids) and sugars, as outlined in the draft national standard for labeling.
All ingredients were screened individually in accordance with the latest “National Food Safety Standard: Standards for the Use of Food Additives” (GB 2760-2024, officially implemented on February 8, 2025). The new standard has removed varieties such as hibiscus red, mimosa yellow, and jujube brown; eliminated regulations regarding the use of preservatives in canned foods; adjusted the maximum usage level of sodium dehydroacetate in pickled vegetables (from 1.0 g/kg to 0.3 g/kg); and introduced new requirements for the total amount of sweeteners such as aspartame and acesulfame potassium when used simultaneously in the same food category. At the same time, compliance with the use of food fortifiers is reviewed in accordance with GB 14880 to ensure that all ingredients are included in China’s positive list of permitted substances.
The Chinese market operates a unique “dual-track system” for health foods, combining registration and filing. We will assist you in determining whether your product requires registration or filing as a health food—products subject to the registration system are approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation, with an approval cycle of approximately 8–9 months; products subject to the filing system are approved by provincial-level regulatory authorities, with an approval cycle typically ranging from 1 to 3 months. At the same time, we will conduct a compliance review of efficacy claims based on the Health Food Function Catalog to ensure that all claims are lawful and valid. General food products may not make claims regarding disease prevention or treatment, nor may they be described using misleading terms such as “exclusively supplied” or “specially supplied.”
For foods for special medical purposes (FSMPs), compliance assessments are conducted in accordance with the *National Food Safety Standard: General Rules for Foods for Special Medical Purposes* (GB 29922-2025, effective September 2, 2026) and the *National Food Safety Standard: Total Nutrition Formulae for Cancer Patients* (GB 31662-2025). For infant formula, reviews are conducted in accordance with the new national standards for infant formula (GB 10765/10766/10767-2021, fully implemented on February 22, 2023). This includes rigorous verification of nutritional indicators such as protein, carbohydrates, whey protein, and lactose, as well as confirmation of the content of essential nutrients such as choline, manganese, and selenium.
In accordance with the 2025 Edition of the “Implementation Rules for Organic Product Certification” (Announcement No. 18 of 2025 by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration, effective January 1, 2026), we assist overseas organic product manufacturers in obtaining Chinese organic product certification. The new edition of the rules strengthens requirements for certification bodies, all stages of the certification process, and post-certification supervision and management, while raising the overall entry standards. We provide comprehensive certification support for overseas organic products entering the Chinese market.
We can help you determine the precise classification of your product under China’s regulatory framework—whether it falls under general food, health foods, foods for special dietary uses, novel food ingredients, or pharmaceuticals—as different classifications entail entirely different compliance pathways and market access requirements.
By integrating all of the above modules, we produce a comprehensive, one-stop market access assessment report for China, providing systematic and actionable compliance recommendations to help your products enter the mainland Chinese market.
